Gift wrapping table

The LEGO Friends Gift Wrapping Table, set number 561611-1, was released in 2011 as a promotional polybag item. It was designed to supplement the launch of the LEGO Friends line, a theme focused on the lives of five best friends in Heartlake City. By offering small, thematic vignettes, the set allowed children to expand their play scenarios beyond the larger base sets, focusing on the social and creative activities central to the brand's narrative.

The design follows the distinct pastel color palette and aesthetic established for the Friends theme, utilizing elements like small decorative presents and a micro-scale table setup. Created to be an accessible entry point or an accessory for existing collections, it reflects the design philosophy of the Friends line—prioritizing detailed, character-driven play over the more structural or technical building focus of other LEGO themes. It was distributed primarily through retail promotions, serving as a functional piece of set-dressing for Heartlake City displays.
