Where it came from
Released in 2020 as part of the LEGO Ninjago Legacy subtheme, the Krazi minifigure is a modernized reimagining of the character originally introduced in the 2011 Pilot episodes. This set, 2116-1, was issued as a promotional foil-pack polybag, intended to offer fans an accessible way to collect iconic villains from the franchise's early history while celebrating the long-running narrative arc of the Ninjago series.
The character design remains faithful to the original skeleton-themed Bonezai and Krazi figures, featuring the distinct skull mask and boney aesthetic that defined the Skulkin army. The update focuses on refining the print quality and color consistency of the classic elements, maintaining the playful, menacing appearance that solidified the Skulkin as fan-favorite antagonists during the series' debut.
