Where it came from
Released in 2019 as part of the long-running LEGO City Advent Calendar series, this set was designed to capture the festive atmosphere of a winter holiday season. The series serves as a yearly tradition for the brand, intended to provide builders with a countdown experience through 24 small, daily buildable surprises that culminate in a seasonal diorama.
The design focus for the 60235 edition centered on a classic snowy town aesthetic, featuring a mix of micro-builds, winter sports equipment, and holiday-themed minifigures such as Santa Claus. It was received by the community as a functional, accessible entry point for younger builders and festive collectors, adhering to the standard City theme design language that emphasizes playability and recognizable, everyday urban objects.
