LEGO Friends Advent Calendar

Released in 2022 as part of the long-running LEGO Friends series, set 41706-1 was designed to bridge traditional holiday anticipation with the modern Heartlake City universe. It serves as a seasonal expansion to the Friends theme, which LEGO introduced in 2012 to offer a more character-driven, narrative-focused building experience centered on friendship and community. The calendar follows the established format of providing twenty-four small builds, including festive dioramas, accessory pieces, and seasonal micro-dolls, intended to be opened sequentially throughout December.

The design of this specific iteration emphasizes winter-themed activities, featuring characters like Olivia and a variety of holiday-themed micro-dolls. The aesthetic leans into the bright, pastel-forward color palette characteristic of the Friends line, focusing on playability and miniature storytelling. Reception among the hobbyist community typically mirrors the broader response to the Friends advent series, which is praised for its high density of unique small builds and accessories, even as enthusiasts often debate the shift toward micro-doll scale compared to traditional minifigures.
