LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues

LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues was released in 2009 as a follow-up to the successful 2008 title, developed by Traveller's Tales and published by LucasArts. Unlike its predecessor, which strictly followed the original trilogy, this installment incorporated levels based on Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull while reimagining the iconic scenes from the first three films. The game was designed to expand the scope of the series by introducing a level editor, allowing players to create and share their own custom environments within the LEGO world.

The game design emphasized a more open-world hub structure, shifting away from the linear progression of the first game to provide a sense of exploration. It received generally positive reviews for its humor and cooperative gameplay mechanics, though some critics noted that the inclusion of content from the fourth film felt less impactful than the classic trilogy material. Its release solidified the partnership between LEGO and Lucasfilm, establishing a template for future character-driven, narrative-heavy LEGO video games.
