LEGO Minifigures - Series 2 {Random bag}

Released in 2010, the Series 2 Collectible Minifigures line followed the success of the inaugural series, which introduced the concept of 'blind bag' packaging to the LEGO brand. This format was designed to capitalize on the element of surprise, encouraging collectors to trade duplicates to complete the full set of sixteen unique characters. The series drew inspiration from a diverse range of archetypes, spanning historical, professional, and fictional realms.

The character designs were developed by the LEGO internal design team, focusing on expanding the variety of torsos, printed legs, and accessories available in the minifigure system. Each figure was intended to stand alone as a small-scale, highly detailed collectible rather than serving as a standard component for traditional building sets. Upon release, the series was well-received by the adult fan community, who appreciated the introduction of new molds and distinct printing techniques that had not previously appeared in standard retail sets.
