LEGO Mixels - Series 6 - Display Box

The LEGO Mixels Series 6 display box, part of a short-lived collaboration between the LEGO Group and Cartoon Network, was released in mid-2015 to house the blind-bagged character figures. These small, buildable characters were designed to be combined, reflecting a core 'mixing' mechanic inspired by the franchise's creative storytelling. The series sought to balance accessible, low-cost building kits with the chaotic, energetic animation style of the associated television shorts, appealing to both completionist collectors and children drawn to the distinct monster-like aesthetic.

The design of the packaging and the individual kits was led by LEGO designers in consultation with the Cartoon Network animation team. By utilizing a uniform small-format bag, the line aimed to capitalize on the blind-box collecting craze while maintaining the integrity of the LEGO building experience. Upon its release, the series was generally well-received for its quirky character designs and the inventive use of specialized parts, which provided significant value for builders looking to expand their personal inventories of unique, articulated elements.
