Where it came from
The BLUEPRINT-3 London Bus was conceived as a stylized tribute to the iconic AEC Routemaster, a vehicle that became a cultural shorthand for mid-century British urban life. It emerged as part of a series intended to highlight industrial design through a minimalist lens, focusing on the distinctive geometry and bold color palette that defined post-war public transit in London.
The set was designed with an emphasis on clean lines and structural accuracy, favoring an aesthetic that prioritized the bus's architectural presence over excessive detailing. Upon its release, it was noted by collectors for its deliberate departure from traditional toy-like depictions, instead positioning itself as a sculptural interpretation of a classic transit silhouette.
