Where it came from
Lord Ras was introduced in 2023 as part of the Ninjago: Dragons Rising series. He serves as a primary antagonist within the Imperium faction, designed as a wolf-like humanoid character to represent a new threat emerging in the aftermath of the Merge, a cataclysmic event that reshaped the Ninjago universe. His aesthetic reflects a blend of traditional fantasy armor and sleek, futuristic tactical gear, signaling his role as a disciplined and formidable commander.
The character design was developed by the LEGO Ninjago team to provide a grounded yet imposing foil to the ninja team. By incorporating elements of heavy plating and a distinct lupine mask, the designers aimed to evoke a sense of ancient, warrior-caste loyalty. Upon his debut, the figure was well-received by the community for its intricate printing and the inclusion of his signature hammer weapon, which reinforced his status as a central pillar of the new narrative arc.
