Where it came from
Lord Ras was introduced in 2023 as a central antagonist for the Lego Ninjago: Dragons Rising series. The character represents a wolf-masked commander from the mysterious realm of Wyldfyre, designed to bridge the transition from the legacy Ninjago era to the post-Merge world. His aesthetic blends traditional martial arts motifs with a dark, primal aesthetic, featuring a distinct moulded wolf-mask headpiece that serves as the centerpiece of his minifigure design.
The figure was released as part of the 2023 Ninjago wave to signify a shift toward more complex, multi-dimensional villains. Lego designers focused on a silhouette that felt both armored and agile, utilizing printed torso and leg detailing to convey a sense of battle-worn experience. Upon release, the character was well-received by fans of the series for his unique visual departure from the elemental masters and serpentine enemies seen in earlier iterations of the theme.
