Where it came from
Lord Ras was introduced in 2023 as a central antagonist for the Ninjago: Dragons Rising series. The character represents a departure from previous villain archetypes, designed as a lupine, hammer-wielding warlord from the realm of Wyldfyre. This minifigure debuted in set 71796, Elemental Dragon vs. The Empress Mech, and subsequently appeared in this specific 892502-1 polybag release, which was distributed as a promotional item.
The design of the figure emphasizes a rugged, tactical aesthetic consistent with the character's role as a mysterious hunter. Featuring a specialized molded headpiece and unique armor elements, the figure reflects the creative team's shift toward high-fantasy world-building in the post-Merge Ninjago era. The figure is recognized by collectors for its intricate printing and the inclusion of his signature golden hammer, successfully translating the screen-accurate details of the animation into a small-scale collectible form.
