Where it came from
Released in 1993 as part of the Dragon Masters sub-theme within the LEGO Castle line, Majisto's Tower represents the iconic wizard character Majisto. This set was designed during a transitional period for LEGO Castle, moving toward more whimsical, fantasy-oriented designs that prioritized character-driven play over the strictly medieval military builds of the 1980s.
The set features a distinctive hinged tower design that allows it to open for access, incorporating a yellow dragon and the classic wizard minifigure with a glow-in-the-dark wand. The design aimed to capture a sense of magical mystery, utilizing specialized elements like the curved roof and the oversized dragon accessory, which became a staple of early 1990s LEGO sets.
