Where it came from
Released in early 2024 as part of the LEGO City theme, this Monster Truck set was designed to offer an accessible, entry-level building experience for younger fans. It serves as a modern iteration of the popular off-road vehicle archetype within the City line, focusing on functional elements like oversized tires and working suspension-like features that prioritize playability and durability for children.
The design team at LEGO developed this set to capture the bold aesthetic of competitive monster trucks through bright color palettes and sticker-based detailing. It reflects the broader LEGO strategy of creating compact, affordable sets that introduce core construction techniques while maintaining the visual flair characteristic of their action-oriented City sub-themes.
