Where it came from
The Royal Talon Fighter, designated set 30450-1, was released in 2018 as part of the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes theme to coincide with the cinematic release of Marvel's Black Panther. This polybag set was designed as a compact, simplified rendition of the Wakandan aircraft featured in the film, providing a accessible entry point for fans to acquire a vehicle iconic to the setting of Wakanda.
The design of the set focuses on the vehicle's distinct avian aesthetic and sleek, stealth-oriented profile, utilizing a limited piece count to capture its characteristic silhouette. As a promotional polybag, it was received by collectors as a functional miniature representation of the larger, more complex retail models, valued primarily for its efficiency in translating cinematic concepts into a small-scale building experience.
