Where it came from
The LEGO Star Wars Sith Trooper Bust (77901) was released in 2019 as a promotional set specifically for San Diego Comic-Con. It served as a limited-run tie-in to the marketing campaign for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, featuring the distinct crimson-armored Sith trooper design intended to evoke a more sinister, elite aesthetic compared to the standard First Order stormtroopers.
The bust was designed to capture the angular, intimidating profile of the Sith trooper helmet using a compact scale suitable for display. While the set was initially exclusive to convention attendees, it garnered significant interest from the broader LEGO collector community for its unique building techniques and the rarity associated with its limited event release.
