Where it came from
The Sith Trooper polybag, identified as set 912174-1, was released as a promotional item within the LEGO Star Wars theme. It ties directly into the 2019 film Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, where these specialized soldiers served as the elite infantry of the Final Order. The minifigure captures the striking aesthetic of the onscreen troopers, utilizing a distinct molded helmet and armor design printed in a vibrant, aggressive crimson color scheme meant to signify their allegiance to the Sith Eternal.
Designed by the LEGO Group's internal development team, this figure was crafted to offer fans an accessible way to build out an army of these cinematic antagonists. By utilizing high-contrast black and red detailing, the designers aimed to replicate the menacing, angular silhouette seen in the film. The set was generally well-received by collectors who specialize in army-building or who track limited-distribution promotional polybags, as it provided a budget-friendly alternative to purchasing larger, more expensive retail sets containing the same character.
