Where it came from
The Sith TIE Fighter, released by LEGO in 2020, was designed to coincide with the theatrical debut of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. The set represents the First Order's specialized fighter craft, which played a pivotal role in the film's climactic battle over the planet Exegol. By capturing the unique triangular wing configuration and the jagged aesthetic of the Sith fleet, the design team aimed to provide a displayable model that balanced structural integrity with the intricate, menacing geometry seen on screen.
Upon its release, the set was noted for its distinctive color palette of black and bright red, a stylistic choice intended to emphasize its alignment with the Sith Eternal forces. Fans and critics generally appreciated the set for its robust build quality and the inclusion of specific, high-quality minifigures—namely Kylo Ren, a First Order TIE Pilot, and a Knight of Ren. It remains a representative example of the LEGO Star Wars line's commitment to translating complex cinematic spacecraft into accessible, medium-scale building experiences.
