Where it came from
The LEGO Star Wars 10th Anniversary Stormtrooper Magnet, set 852737-1, was released in 2009 to commemorate a decade of the licensing partnership between the LEGO Group and Lucasfilm. This period marked a significant era for the brand, as the Star Wars theme had become a cornerstone of LEGO's portfolio, bridging the gap between traditional construction play and expansive pop-culture collecting.
The set features a classic Stormtrooper minifigure mounted on a specialized 4x4 brick with an integrated magnet, designed to attach to metallic surfaces. The design reflects the standard Stormtrooper aesthetic prevalent in the late 2000s, consistent with the minimalist yet iconic style LEGO established for its Star Wars character roster during that decade. It was received as a functional novelty item intended to appeal both to children and adult collectors seeking small, displayable mementos of the anniversary milestone.
