Where it came from
The LEGO Star Wars Super Pack 66596-1, released around 2016, is a bundled retail product designed to incentivize sales by combining two distinct individual sets into a single SKU. These bundles were traditionally sold exclusively through large-scale retail partners, serving as a value-oriented offering that combined mid-sized buildable kits to attract holiday shoppers or collectors looking to acquire multiple sets simultaneously.
This specific pack features the First Order Snowspeeder (75100) and the Resistance Troop Transporter (75140), both based on designs from the 2015 film Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The sets reflect the contemporary aesthetic of the sequel trilogy, focusing on the expanded fleet of vehicles introduced in that era. While the individual sets were received with mixed commentary regarding their accuracy to on-screen models, the Super Pack remains a notable archival piece for fans of modern LEGO Star Wars set architecture.
