Where it came from
The Super Secret Police Enforcer, set 30282-1, was released in 2014 as part of a promotional campaign tied to the theatrical debut of The LEGO Movie. This polybag set serves as a miniature representation of the antagonist forces commanded by Lord Business, reflecting the film's satirical take on classic sci-fi tropes and the rigid order imposed upon the LEGO universe. Its compact design allowed it to be distributed as a retail incentive, making it a accessible entry point for fans of the movie franchise.
The model was designed to mirror the larger, more complex vehicles featured in the film, utilizing a limited piece count to capture the sharp, utilitarian aesthetic of the Super Secret Police aesthetic. By prioritizing the signature dark blue and grey color scheme, the designers sought to maintain the visual continuity of the film's antagonists even at a small scale. Upon its release, it was well-received by collectors who appreciated the inclusion of a specific character-themed minifigure in such a small, budget-friendly set format.
