Where it came from
The Guardian Dragon, set 71847-1, is part of the Ninjago Dragons Rising theme released by the LEGO Group in 2024. Designed to complement the narrative arc introduced in the Dragons Rising television series, this set captures a specific creature from the Ninjago world, aimed at younger builders looking to recreate the dynamic action sequences characteristic of the ninja franchise.
The set reflects the ongoing evolution of LEGO's creature design, utilizing specialized molded pieces and ball-joint connections to ensure poseability and durability during play. Like its predecessors in the Ninjago line, it was received as a functional addition to the broader collection, designed to bridge the gap between complex display builds and accessible, character-driven playsets that resonate with fans of the ongoing animated saga.
