Where it came from
The LEGO Ninjago Training Kit, released under set number 5005231 in 2018, was designed as a promotional polybag intended to expand the play experience of the Ninjago theme. It reflects the franchise's ongoing focus on the martial arts training rituals central to the lives of the ninja characters, providing essential accessories and a minifigure to encourage imaginative combat and training scenarios.
The set features a classic Zane minifigure accompanied by a weapons rack, a training dummy, and various ninja gear. Its design aesthetic aligns with the visual language of the Ninjago series during that period, prioritizing accessibility and playability for younger fans. As a promotional item, it was distributed through LEGO retail channels to complement the larger Ninjago wave of the time, serving as an approachable entry point or a tactical addition for collectors building out their dojo displays.
