Where it came from
The LEGO World People Set, numbered 9222-1, was released as part of the LEGO Education line, designed specifically for early childhood development in classroom settings. The collection was developed to provide educators with a diverse range of figures that reflect different ages, genders, and occupations, facilitating social-emotional learning and role-play activities among younger students.
The design of the figures emphasizes inclusivity and versatility, featuring a mix of hairstyles, clothing styles, and professional roles. Because these sets were primarily distributed through educational supply channels rather than standard retail, they are recognized by collectors as a distinct series that prioritizes functional representation over the narrative-driven themes common in the broader LEGO portfolio.
