Where it came from
Worriz was released in 2013 as part of the LEGO Legends of Chima theme, a multimedia franchise developed by The LEGO Group to support a new line of construction sets, television series, and video games. The character serves as the leader of the Wolf Tribe, and this specific minifigure design reflects the aggressive, tribal aesthetic central to the Chima narrative. It was crafted by the LEGO design team to capture the franchise's emphasis on elemental themes and animal-inspired anthropomorphism, which was intended to differentiate the line from previous long-running proprietary themes like Ninjago.
The design of the Worriz minifigure is notable for its specialized molded headpiece, which features sculpted ears and fur texture to convey the character's lupine nature. Upon its launch, the Legends of Chima line was received with moderate interest as a high-fantasy adventure series; while it did not achieve the multi-generational longevity of some other LEGO themes, it remains a distinct example of the company's mid-2010s focus on world-building through intricate character design and extensive lore.
