Where it came from
Kuzco, Temperamental Emperor, is a super-rare character card featured in the Shimmering Skies set for the Disney Lorcana trading card game, released by Ravensburger in 2024. The set builds upon the game's established lore, which centers on the Great Illuminary and the use of magical ink to bring legendary Disney characters to life as glimmers.
The card design captures Kuzco's distinct persona from the 2000 film The Emperor's New Groove, focusing on his iconic, self-centered demeanor. As a super-rare card, it is sought after by players and collectors alike for its mechanical utility in the game's competitive ecosystem and for its artwork, which adheres to the high-quality, illustrative style consistent with the wider Lorcana art direction.
