Peg

Peg is a character card from the 115th slot of the Hyperia City trading card game, an initiative released to capture the aesthetic of neon-drenched urban fantasy in the late 1990s. As a common-tier character, the card was designed as a base-level unit meant to flesh out the game's bustling world-building, representing the everyday denizens of the fictional metropolis rather than its central heroes or villains.

The art style of the Hyperia City set was largely defined by a collective of freelance illustrators who focused on sharp, high-contrast digital renderings to evoke a futuristic atmosphere. Peg, in particular, was rendered with a focus on functional gear and utilitarian fashion, mirroring the designers' intent to ground the high-concept science fiction setting in recognizable, grounded character designs that resonated with the burgeoning tabletop enthusiast community.
