Stacey

Stacey, card number 116 in the Hyperia City set, represents the expansion of the popular Hyperia City trading card game during the mid-2010s. This character was designed to flesh out the civilian population of the fictional metropolis, serving as a tactical support unit that prioritizes board control over direct combat. The aesthetic direction for this release shifted toward a more stylized, clean-lined digital art form, moving away from the gritty, high-contrast illustrations that defined the game's initial launch.

The reception of the Hyperia City set was generally positive among hobbyists, who praised the move toward more intricate deck-building mechanics involving character-specific synergies. Stacey, as an uncommon card, became a staple for players looking to refine their strategies without the high cost of rare or holographic staples. The design team aimed for a relatable, grounded appearance for the character, which resonated with a fanbase seeking more variety in character roles beyond the set's primary combat-focused archetypes.
