Prince Naveen

Prince Naveen, numbered 009 in the Azurite Sea set of the Disney Lorcana trading card game, represents a specialized iteration of the character originally from the 2009 animated feature The Princess and the Frog. Released by Ravensburger in late 2024, the card is part of a set designed to expand the game's mechanics into themes of exploration and sea-faring adventure. The artwork continues the game's established style of blending traditional character designs with a vibrant, modern illustrative flair intended to appeal to both competitive players and franchise enthusiasts.

The development of this card, like others in the Azurite Sea expansion, focuses on integrating character-specific abilities into the strategic framework established by Lorcana's core set. Designers aimed to capture Naveen's personality—often defined by his transition from a carefree royal to a responsible leader—within the constraints of the game's ink system. As an uncommon rarity card, it serves a functional role in deck building, providing accessible synergy options that allow players to incorporate the character into diverse play styles without the scarcity associated with higher-rarity entries.
