Rapunzel

The Rapunzel character card from the Hyperia City set emerged as part of an ambitious late-2010s digital-physical hybrid trading card game. Developed to bridge the gap between classic tabletop mechanics and modern aesthetic sensibilities, the set was designed to evoke a stylized, neon-drenched urban fantasy landscape. The artwork for this legendary tier card reflects the broader design philosophy of the series, which emphasized high-contrast color palettes and intricate character silhouettes to distinguish the collection in a crowded secondary market.

Rapunzel was conceived by the creative team at Hyperia Studio to serve as a high-utility character within the game's tactical engine. The design process focused on reinterpreting traditional folklore tropes through a cyberpunk lens, resulting in a character model that balances traditional motifs with technical, futuristic hardware. Upon its release, the card gained significant interest among collectors for its distinct visual style and its challenging drop rate, eventually becoming a staple piece for those documenting the evolution of contemporary TCG art.
