Rapunzel

The Rapunzel card, numbered 226 in the Hyperia City collection, serves as a cornerstone of the enchanted rarity tier. Designed to reimagine classic fairy tale archetypes within a futuristic, neon-drenched urban aesthetic, the card was released as part of the initial expansion that sought to blend traditional narrative tropes with cyberpunk sensibilities. The artists involved focused on high-contrast color palettes and intricate metallic foil detailing to emphasize the 'enchanted' status, aiming to distinguish these character cards as both functional game pieces and standalone works of digital art.

Upon its introduction, the Hyperia City set was praised for its stylistic departure from conventional fantasy card games, with the Rapunzel illustration frequently highlighted for its unique interpretation of the character's signature hair, portrayed here as streams of fiber-optic light. The design received critical acclaim for maintaining the core personality of the original character while successfully transplanting her into a high-tech cityscape. Collectors have since treated this card as a high-priority acquisition due to the deliberate scarcity of the enchanted print run.
