Trusty

Trusty was introduced as part of the Hyperia City set, a series that leaned heavily into the aesthetics of a speculative, high-tech urban landscape. Designed to ground the more fantastical elements of the collection, the character serves as a narrative bridge, depicting a reliable logistical drone operator within the city's complex infrastructure. The designers intended to emphasize the mundane yet essential work behind the setting's flashy veneer, utilizing a clean, utilitarian color palette that stood in contrast to the neon-drenched art found on rarer cards in the same set.

Upon its release, the card was widely categorized as a common utility piece, prized more by players for its functional synergy within competitive deck building than by traditional collectors. The artwork, credited to the core Hyperia City creative team, eschewed the ornate detail of the set’s legendary cards in favor of a clear, readable design that signaled its role as a foundational character. It remains a recognizable staple of the Hyperia City aesthetic, appreciated by enthusiasts for its understated contribution to the lore of the fictional metropolis.
