Arrogant Poet // Arrogant Poet

The Arrogant Poet art card is part of the Strixhaven: School of Mages Art Series, released by Wizards of the Coast in 2021. This specific card showcases the work of illustrator Titus Lunter, who was tasked with visualizing the vibrant, academic atmosphere of the Silverquill College, one of the five houses at the Strixhaven university. The series was designed to highlight the high-quality digital and traditional illustrations commissioned for the expansion, offering players and collectors a focused view of the character designs separate from the functional gameplay elements.

Lunter’s design for the Arrogant Poet captures the essence of a student steeped in the magical discipline of ink-based spells, emphasizing the sharp aesthetic and haughty posture characteristic of Silverquill. Upon its release, the card was received warmly by collectors for its clean, frame-less presentation and the detailed narrative storytelling packed into a single image. It remains a representative piece of the broader effort to celebrate the artistic identity of the Strixhaven plane, standing as a notable entry within the set's curated collection of thematic character portraits.
