The set aimed to push the boundaries of game mechanics by introducing elements that physically or mentally challenged players, such as requiring them to speak in rhymes or perform specific gestures. This card specifically parodies the 'looting' mechanic common in blue Magic cards, which allows players to draw and discard cards, by depicting a thief literally plundering physical assets.

The artwork was provided by Heather Hudson, who used the pseudonym Erica Gassalasca-Jape for this piece to match the irreverent tone of the set. Hudson, a prolific illustrator for the game, opted for a whimsical, cartoonish style that distanced the card from the high-fantasy aesthetic typical of standard Magic releases.
