Provenance

Where it came from

The Bird Illusion token was released as part of the Ravnica Remastered set in early 2024, a curated collection designed to celebrate the history of the Ravnica plane within the Magic: The Gathering card game. These tokens serve as auxiliary game pieces for cards that create flying, illusory creatures, reflecting the whimsical and arcane aesthetic associated with the Blue-aligned factions of the city-plane.

The design of these tokens prioritizes a clean, readable aesthetic consistent with modern token standards, emphasizing the ethereal nature of the creature through color palette and artistic composition. As a collection piece, it captures the intersection of functional gameplay design and the world-building legacy of the Ravnica setting, offering players a contemporary visual interpretation of a classic mechanical element.
