What it does
3 generic mana blue mana: An opponent tells you a statement about themselves and secretly notes whether it's true or false. You guess which it is. If you guessed correctly, this creature gets +2/+0 and can't be blocked this turn.
Lying to a fish is such an unthinkable act, most planets don't even have a law against it.

Where it came from
Blufferfish was released in 2022 as part of the Unfinity expansion, the fourth set in the long-running Un-series by Wizards of the Coast. Designed for casual play, these sets are known for their satirical tone and experimental mechanics that break the traditional rules of Magic: The Gathering. This specific card, illustrated by artist Joshua Raphael, features a pun-based theme that characterizes the lighthearted nature of the Un-set aesthetic.
The design of Blufferfish centers on a 'sticker' mechanic, a hallmark of the Unfinity set that allows players to physically modify their cards during the game. Raphael’s illustration leans into the whimsical, high-color palette typical of the set's sci-fi circus theme. While the card is not legal in sanctioned competitive play, it remains a notable example of the creative freedom afforded to designers and illustrators working within the game's non-traditional product lines.
