Where it came from
The 'Bounty: Frankie The Fang' token was released in 2024 as part of the 'Outlaws of Thunder Junction' Commander token collection for Magic: The Gathering. This specific card represents a specialized bounty mechanic introduced within the set, which leans heavily into western-themed tropes and the aesthetic of lawless frontier justice. The token was designed to serve as a visual aid for players participating in the set's unique bounty-hunting gameplay features.
The design of the card emphasizes the gritty, cinematic style of the Outlaws of Thunder Junction plane, featuring artwork that characterizes the bounty target with a distinct outlaw persona. Like other tokens in this series, it was crafted to provide functional clarity on the battlefield while maintaining the high artistic standards characteristic of modern Wizards of the Coast releases.
