Where it came from
The Citizen token, numbered 11 in the Reality Fracture Commander Tokens set, was produced by Wizards of the Coast as a supplemental card for the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. Tokens are non-playable cards used within the game to represent temporary creatures created by various spells or abilities. This specific token serves as a visual marker for effects that generate Citizen creature tokens, which typically feature basic power and toughness stats.
The design of this series reflects the specific aesthetic themes of the set it accompanied, utilizing digital illustration to maintain consistency with the broader Magic: The Gathering art direction. These tokens were included as a utility item in Commander deck packaging, providing players with a convenient, branded way to track board states during gameplay. Like many auxiliary tokens, it is valued by players and collectors primarily for its functional use during matches and as a complete set element.
