Kobolds of Kher Keep

Kobolds of Kher Keep, originating from the 1994 Legends expansion for Magic: The Gathering, represent a classic element of fantasy lore tied to the domain of Kher Keep. These zero-mana creatures were designed to provide players with fodder for sacrifice effects or swarm strategies. The original concept was rooted in the lighthearted yet dangerous nature of kobolds within the game's multiverse, serving as a tactical tool rather than a combat powerhouse.

The specific iteration from the Reality Fracture Commander Tokens set continues this legacy, maintaining the iconic visual identity established by earlier artists who depicted these creatures as small, reptilian, and numerous. By providing them as official token cards in later sets, the designers acknowledged their enduring utility in Commander format decks, where they serve as essential tokens for cards that create multiple low-cost bodies simultaneously.
