Clear, Fair Magic

Clear, Fair Magic, indexed as RG12b, emerged from the experimental era of promotional trading card distribution. While the specific set remains uncatalogued by mainstream hobby databases, cards labeled with the RG prefix are generally associated with limited-run event-exclusive releases designed to showcase unique foil-stamping techniques and minimalist graphic design aesthetics. These cards were primarily intended as commemorative keepsakes for attendees of industry gatherings rather than for competitive play.

The design of RG12b favors a sparse, ethereal visual language, utilizing a semi-translucent substrate that was highly unconventional for the period of its production. It is believed that the design was a collaborative effort between the internal art department of the publisher and freelance print engineers seeking to push the boundaries of card durability and light refraction. Upon its release, the card garnered modest interest from niche collectors who appreciated its departure from the high-density illustration style dominant in the broader collectible card market at the time.
