The card functions as a board-wide enchantment, buffing all creatures on the battlefield based on the number of other creatures sharing a creature type. Its introduction reflected the design philosophy of the era, which often prioritized high-impact, chaotic artifacts that could radically shift the momentum of a game.

The card quickly became a staple in casual Magic: The Gathering formats, particularly Commander, due to its ability to turn small tokens into formidable threats. Artist Scott M.
