Provenance

Where it came from

The Construct token (008/028) was released as part of The Brothers' War Commander set in late 2022. This set was designed to complement the main expansion, which revisited the iconic conflict between Urza and Mishra, two pivotal figures in the lore of Magic: The Gathering. Tokens in this set were crafted to represent the various artifacts and mechanical creations essential to the war-torn aesthetic of the expansion.

The artwork for this specific token reflects the industrial and modular design philosophy characteristic of the Brothers' War era. It features a stylized, metallic entity that embodies the set's focus on artifact-heavy gameplay and combat-focused mechanics. The design was intended to serve as a clear, functional visual aid for players while maintaining the high artistic standard established for contemporary Magic card treatments.
