Construct

The Construct token was released as part of The Big Score Tokens set, a collection designed to augment tabletop strategy games by providing high-quality, tactile representations of summoned entities. These tokens emerged during a period when game developers were increasingly focused on enhancing the physical presence of game components to elevate the player experience. The design team sought to move away from generic markers, opting for a clean, industrial aesthetic that emphasized the mechanical nature of a construct while remaining versatile enough for various gaming systems.

The artistry behind the Construct reflects a deliberate choice to favor geometric clarity and muted tones, allowing it to integrate seamlessly onto busy game boards. It was received positively by the enthusiast community, who valued its durable material and the way its distinct visual style helped reduce board clutter. As a functional piece of hobbyist ephemera, it represents a shift toward elevating utility items into collectibles that possess their own modest aesthetic merit.
