Where it came from
Copy Enchantment was first introduced in the 2004 Ravnica: City of Guilds expansion, designed to embody the shifting, adaptive nature of the blue color identity within the game's mechanics. The card allows a player to enter the battlefield as a copy of any enchantment already in play, offering a versatile tool for tactical mimicry. It was conceived during a period when Wizards of the Coast was emphasizing complex, synergistic interactions between permanent types, making it a staple for control-oriented strategies.
The Ravnica Remastered version, bearing collector number 312z, updates the classic card with a distinct aesthetic treatment consistent with the set's goal of revisiting the iconic plane of Ravnica. The artwork continues the tradition of visually representing the magical duplication of enchantments, blending the high-fantasy style established in the early 2000s with modern printing techniques. This re-release was well-received by collectors and players alike for providing a refreshed look at an essential utility card from Magic: The Gathering history.
