Where it came from
Cut // Ribbons, a split card originally appearing in the Amonkhet set for Magic: The Gathering, was reimagined as part of the Secret Lair Drop Series. This specific iteration, numbered 367, was released to offer fans an alternative aesthetic experience, utilizing the unique art styles that define the Secret Lair specialty line. The card mechanically functions as a versatile black spell, featuring a burn effect on the Cut half and a scalable life-drain effect on the Ribbons half.
The artistic direction of the Secret Lair series frequently focuses on guest illustrators and stylized themes to differentiate these drops from standard expansion cards. For this release, the design leans into a bold, expressive visual language intended to contrast with the traditional fantasy realism of the core game. It has been received by the collector community as a collectible art piece, valued primarily for its distinct visual flair and its status as a limited-run print compared to the original Amonkhet release.
