This specific iteration hails from the 2010 Duel Decks: Phyrexia vs. the Coalition, a preconstructed product designed to capture the lore-heavy conflict between the Phyrexian invaders and the disparate forces of Dominaria’s Coalition. The set served as a retrospective of the Invasion block, offering players a thematic battle between the two opposing factions.

The artwork for this version was provided by Mark Zug, a frequent contributor to Magic: The Gathering whose style often emphasizes heavy, tactile textures and dynamic posture.
