Desmond Miles // Desmond Miles

Desmond Miles serves as the foundational protagonist of the early Assassin's Creed franchise, introduced in the 2007 debut title. This card belongs to the Assassin's Creed Art Series, a collection produced to commemorate the aesthetic evolution and character depth of the series. The imagery honors his role as the modern-day link to his ancestral assassins, capturing the pivotal transition between his life as a bartender and his unwilling involvement in the centuries-old conflict between the Assassins and the Templars.

The design of the card emphasizes the gritty, grounded visual language established by Ubisoft's art team during the series' inception. By highlighting Miles's civilian attire paired with his internal struggle, the illustration aims to ground the high-concept historical narratives in the relatable, albeit high-stakes, contemporary reality of the game's frame story. Fans and critics have long viewed these character cards as a retrospective appreciation of the narrative core that defined the franchise's first era.
