Where it came from
Don't Worry About It was released in 2024 as part of the Mystery Booster 2 set, a specialized compilation designed by Wizards of the Coast to celebrate the history of Magic: The Gathering. This set is notable for including 'playtest' cards—experimental designs that were never intended for standard competitive play—as well as cards featuring aesthetics from different eras or humorous design pivots.
The card serves as a tongue-in-cheek nod to the game's evolving mechanics and the often chaotic nature of 'un-sets' or promotional expansions. It was illustrated by artist Matt Cavotta, who has a long history with the franchise. The design aims to subvert typical player anxieties regarding complex game states, replacing serious strategic text with a relaxed, ironic reassurance that reflects the self-aware humor found in the development team's internal playtesting sessions.
