Dragonskull Summit

Dragonskull Summit was originally introduced in the Magic: The Gathering expansion Scars of Mirrodin in 2010, designed as part of a cycle of allied-color dual lands that reward players for controlling basic lands. The Ixalan Promo version, numbered 252p, was released in 2017 as a promotional card for the Ixalan set, distributed through various Organized Play initiatives. These land cards are essential utility pieces for players building multi-colored decks in the Commander and Modern formats, prized for their ability to enter the battlefield untapped under specific conditions.

The artwork for this particular printing was created by artist Titus Lunter. Tasked with depicting the jagged, volcanic landscape characteristic of the Ixalan plane, Lunter emphasized the dark, basaltic rock formations and sulfurous atmosphere associated with the Black-Red color identity. The reception of these promotional lands has been consistently positive within the community, as players often seek out special border treatments or unique card frames to distinguish their decks from standard tournament play copies.
