Ebon Praetor

Ebon Praetor was released in November 1994 as part of the Fallen Empires expansion set for the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. Developed during a period of rapid growth for the game, Fallen Empires was designed to explore the lore of the conflict-ridden continent of Sarpadia, focusing on the dark themes of extinction and resource depletion. The set is notable for its thematic density and the inclusion of multiple versions of certain illustrations, reflecting the creative experimentation occurring at Wizards of the Coast during the mid-nineties.
