Eldrazi Guacamole Tightrope

Eldrazi Guacamole Tightrope is a sticker sheet released as part of the Unfinity set in 2022. This set was designed to explore the intersection of traditional Magic: The Gathering gameplay and silver-bordered, un-set mechanics, introducing stickers as a new way to modify permanents during a match. The mechanic was created to offer a lighthearted and chaotic layer to the game, allowing players to permanently alter the stats or abilities of their cards throughout a session.

The visual design and illustration were handled by Larissa Hasenheit and Mina Jeon, who leaned into the whimsical and surreal aesthetic characteristic of the Un-series. By blending the cosmic horror of the Eldrazi with the mundane absurdity of guacamole and tightropes, the artists aimed to create a visually striking set of stickers that would fit the chaotic tone of the expansion. Upon release, the stickers were received as a bold, if controversial, departure from standard mechanics, primarily serving as a novelty for casual and draft play.
